It’s a crummy, humid day here. I’m trying to get the floors mopped ... well, I’m trying to get the floors cleared, so I can get the floors swept, so I can get the floors mopped ...
It was so un-crowded at my parents’ condo!
I’m going to sort through a bunch of paperwork, pitch out anything older than a year, and see if I can compose a little missive to the manager so I can get a bigger place.
Because my medical records list only “CFIDS” and none of the symptoms, I am on my own. So. Equipped with a big red mark on my left arm where I fell into a book case when I lost my balance, and the print-out of symptoms from the CFIDS.org website, I’m going to submit my request once more. Wish me luck.
It’s expected to be breezy today, but not too hot. Still, I don’t want to be out in it much. Gads...June already! EEEP!

I’m just printing out this page and using a pink highlighter to mark the balance and wobbly things that pertain to living in such a small space.
Not being able to store my tubs outside has created a safety hazard that the managers are well aware of. I just have to make sure they get the connection between loss of balance, etc., and the hazards I face whenever I try to navigate the pathways.
Thank you so much! Of course, if you could write a little something about when I fell in your kitchen (with no obstacles in my path) and Sally as my only witness, it may help...or not.

We have a clan, I suppose, of Eritreans on our street, and further relations who all attend our church. I understand there aren’t many Eritreans who are Roman Catholic, but such as there are seem to live in the Charlotte area!

‘Face lives in a tiny “efficiency” apartment that is barely larger than a walk in closet. Those cramped quarters have caused her to fall numerous times and injure herself. A one bedroom would suit her needs best, but she is at the mercy of the housing manager. No doubt there is a waiting list....
I remember a friend who was homeless, camping out on friends’ couches a week at a time. She applied for emergency housing and was told that King County had a 3 year waiting list for single females. Those with children could be accommodated immediately.
Because of the concussion and the normal dizziness with CFIDS, I still have to crawl to the bathroom during the night. If I stand up, I will lose my balance. There are so many things against my walls that if I tried to catch myself, I might bring it all tumbling down on me. Not worth it. So I crawl.
It was a South Park reference, even funnier if one has had dealings with Scientology.

It was actually about three or four years before I alerted anyone on FR to the fact that I was a victim of CFIDS, and even then, I told the minimum that I could get away with. Now, however, I feel more people need to be aware of what this disease does.
Within 18 months of being diagnosed with the disease, I lost my car, my job and my apartment, and even lost a husband, not to mention my credit and my self-respect. There were no such thing as “support groups” for CFIDS then.
As a result, my FRiends are my “Therapy Group!” LOL!
(As an aside, my own son is still in denial about the disease.)

We’ve had to have a fire for the last 3 nights.
There are fires all around us, but because of the sparse desert vegetation, it’s not in our back yard. Still we get the smoke from them all, one way or another!
