No, but since you said it was nice there, I figured it's not 104. That's the National Weather Service number; I guess it's in the sun, but probably not in a parking lot, which might be 110 or more.
Some parts of the state are getting rain, but not us. I started watering the vegetables when I got up at 6:00 this morning, before I even poured a cup of coffee.
Yesterday, in the early AM, Busdaddy and I were making some minor adjustments to his racecar. It was fairly “cool” with the breeze coming in the garage door. We were done well before noon.
Around then, he stepped outside to retrieve the trash can (yes, Trash Day hits the Desert, too!) and said, “Ya know...it’s a little warm out there. It was 109...he took his little Racing Beeber, went out to the street, and came back in saying, “The asphalt is 143.” Yah. Fried eggs, anyone?
No wonder the A/C ran non-stop.
You’re right TC. I figure we didn’t get past the high 80’s yesterday.
And no, SG, I don’t have an igloo, but I do remember seeing Americans with skis on the roof in Algonquin Park in the summer wondering where the snow was. ;-)
Thanks Cyber Liberty!
