“He blamed sceptics who are opposed to major social and economic changes to reduce greenhouse gas emissions for employing “tremendous resources” to undermine the scientific evidence.”

“Tremendous resources” ... like, for example, the truth.

They are losing because they are not scientists in any sense of the word. They don’t know how to collect data, analyze data, or interpret the analysis. Their predictions contain as much truth as an Obamaloon speech, and their math would get them an A from any liberal journalist (redundency alert....).

Failure is their goal, and in that only...they are successful.

public scepticism about the threat of man-made climate change has increased despite the growing scientific consensus

Maybe they just need to take another vote on it - they might get a bigger "consensus"! That's the way "sie-unce" gets done, isn't it?

...he admitted that without public support it will be impossible to make the changes he and his colleagues believe need to occur to protect future generations from the effects of climate change.

"Climatologists are pessimistic that political leaders will take any positive action to compensate for the climatic change, or even to allay its effects. They concede that some of the more spectacular solutions proposed, such as melting the Arctic ice cap by covering it with black soot or diverting arctic rivers, might create problems far greater than those they solve... The longer the planners delay, the more difficult will they find it to cope with climatic change once the results become grim reality."

Give it up, Hansen. You can’t hide the truth forever.

Dr James Hansen:"There is a very concerted effort by people who would prefer to see business to continue as usual. They have been winning the public debate with the help of tremendous resources. Who knows how the East Anglia email fiasco came about?"

These are the words of a paranoid schizophrenic. He is totally out of touch with reality and deserves pity and maybe hospitalization - certainly not adulation. The US government alone funds him and his cohorts over three billion dollars annually. His detractors are mostly not funded. Even I know how the "East Anglia email fiasco came about". It came about because of damning emails sent by and to the conspirators at East Anglia.

"tremendous resources". Otherwise known as common sense.
