Thanks. What worries me now is the recoil that poor little $40 scope is trying to take. After that range trip, I removed the sight, used the good blue Loctite on the screw threads, and re-mounted it. Let it cure good, then went back to the range a few days later to do a re-sight-in.

I fired quite a few more rounds this time, and after the last group (photo below) I noticed the flyer at 9:00 o'clock. Looked down at the scope, and it had moved. Reaction to recoil is pushing it forward. It had even pulled the barrel bands cockeyed, as a result of the sight trying to force the upper handguard forward. Scratching my head for a solution to this one!

Hmmmm...

For what it’s worth, my barrel bands shift from heavy shooting with just the plain iron sights.
