I was the same age, and it got to me, too, for while there.
I was in the first grade, and the teacher addressed the class and explained how bad the show was for children and warned us to stay away from it, LOL.

I was about 8, and wouldn’t even attempt it.
Somehow a handful of Dark Shadows cards found their way into my baseball card collection. I wish I had them now!
FYI, the series was cancelled because it wasn’t selling soap. Its demo was teenagers.
