Maybe it’s a behind-the-scenes project of his. I don’t think all of what Rush does is accessible by tuning in to the EIB.

I would like nothing more than to discover that Rush had been running the equivalent of a Sheriff Joe investigation himself.

Just a thought, what if Rush's recent cell phone tampering has been going on for the past several weeks/months/years without his knowledge?
