My only question is how does this strategy work with the primary states and the bound delegates? If we assume Paul wins the caucus delegates, what else? Is that enough to overtake Romney? Or just deny him the 1144 and snag victory in the brokered convention?

It won’t happen as long as the GOP believes they can force their pet democrat down our throats.

Ok, I’m not disagreeing with you, but will you explain if Romney doesn’t get the 1,144 PLEDGE delegates, what happens?

The Republican Party makes one stupid decision after another. Ron Paul is a stealth candidate for the Democrats and Obama. He is endorsed by Code Pink. The Paulbots have one goal, to ensure Obama’s reelection.

The fact that the Republican Party let Ron Paul do this is one more way they are destroying themselves.

Ron Paul’s boosters who believe this stuff must be using something he wants to legalize prematurely.

Sadly despite his idiocy in foreign policy.... yes... as much as it pains me to say that.

I’m not enamoured with Ron Paul, but given a choise between Obama, Obama Lite (Romney) and the Tinfoil Hat Man, I’d vote for Paul in a heartbeat. If nothing else, it would shake up the RINOs and the Beltway GOP and give us a very interesting four years.

Ron Paul is shocking the political world.

I think it's more likely that the NY Jets will win last year's Super Bowl.

Belief? perhaps not

This piece is the result

Would Paul be better than Romney?

Absolutely. The only thing worse than Romney would be to have the evil, arrogant, ignoranus who is currently befouling the white house remain. The only problem is that it is doubtful that Paul could beat the annointed one.

Further evidence the GOP is circling the drain... when a nutcase is seen as the “better” alternative to the presumed nominee..

At this point we’re stuck with two candidates neither of which can beat Obama.

Personally I think the GOP should man up and call off the rest of the primaries, stop wasting money and show the people how they really feel.

The whole brokered convention stuff is a perfect storm of fantasies by three groups that normally are opposed to each other.

1) Of course this one is from a Libertarian propaganda site.

2) The second group of fantasizers are people that hate Romney.

3) The third, and by far most important group has been the MSM media. They’ve vomited countless electrons writing about a brokered convention because:

a) They are bored silly by modern conventions and have a fantasy of reporting on smoke-filled rooms that they’ve read about in history books.

b) They’re leftists and want to see R campaign money blown on ALL of the primaries up until the end, weakening the R candidate.

c) They fantasize about a a weird/too far to the right candidate getting the nomination that is unelectable.

When you combine that many fantasies, you end up with the “Brokered Convention” nonsense.

This is similar to the “Myth of Heterosexual AIDS.” You both had AIDS and Gay Activists promoting the idea that ANYONE can get AIDS, in hopes of getting more funding, AND social conservatives loved being able to tell people that if they had sex with more than one person in their life they would die of AIDS.

I don’t buy it. Nothing in this adds up. It strikes me as the writing of someone who just can’t accept what’s happened.

I’d LOVE to be proven wrong.

Although we have a zombie in the White Hut it is patently illegal to advance a dead man for the presidency even though he has a consituency known as the dead heads.
