Sure, having someone who is at least a fiscal conservative would be better than someone who’s liberal on everything. Arguably the biggest, most immediate impending disaster for our country is the debt, so someone who’s going to be a hawk on that issue would be a good enough choice, even if they’re wrong on other issues. Paul’s fiscal austerity would be far preferable to Romney’s tax-and-spend socialism.
Well, except for the fact that the real world doesn’t work that way.
If they will sell you out on the moral issues, they will sell you out on the money issues in the end. Always.
