Yep. I’ve been to a few weddings in my day, family, friends, my own... Without exception the funnest, most memorable have been those that tended towards the more casual. Focus on the sacrament, then just have some laughs. The ones that tended towards the more pretentious and upscale...way too up tight.
My son got married at the county courthouse and had the reception in our horse barn. A good time was had by all, including the horses.
