Is a Sebacious Cyst the same as a boil? Boils are a staff infection and I can’t imagine someone doing this on the kitchen counter.

No a boil is a abscess an infectious process. A sebaceous cyst is a collection of skin cells or dermis that grows and sloughs dead skin that is retained in the cyst. If you don't remove the capsule of a sebaceous cyst it will form again.
