Jeremy Clarkson has risked outrage by suggesting ... “a bit of racism.”
Telegraph ^ | 05 May 2012 | Adam Lusher

The BBC Top Gear presenter claimed that the long delays at Heathrow border control were because immigration officials were no longer allowed to use their discretion to wave certain passengers through. He said: “Nobody is waved through any more. The result is plain for all to see. There’s a two-hour wait. “And the problem is: the only possible solution is to introduce a bit of racism.”

Jeremy Clarkson - A voice of common sense in the UK. By the way, Top Gear season 17 is now streaming on Netflix.

While Jeremy will have black celbreties drive the reasonably priced car, you don’t see many “asians” on the show. I doubt they “get” Top Gear anyway.

So will he he forced to resign?

I became a fan of Clarkson when I decided that he didn't follow the usual required PC lock step.

“Clarkson, 52, has a long record of making controversial remarks. He provoked a wave of complaints last November when he jokingly suggested on BBC’s The One Show that striking public sector workers should be shot in front of their families. “

He sure does have an interesting mastery of the English language. Drives liberals and leftists crazy. Good.

What he is saying that there should be some systematic, pragmatic process for screening passengers at airports.

Since most homicide bombers are Moslems, it makes sense to watch out for them, including known western converts. I don’t think the American Amish are really into blowing themselves up for any cause.

But, you know, these people are British, and the British are oh-so proper, which is why their country is going down Sir Thomas Crapper’s famous invention.

Bon voyage!

Israel has been successful in stopping airliner hijackings because they profile. They have had one since the first (and last) one in 1969. Even that attempt was not successful.

I like Top Gear, but Jeremy Clarkson can be very anti-American and his “Top Gear” magazine in 2010 made Obama Man of the Year. In his Top Gear programs when he visited the USA he always portrays the anti-South stereotypes that you see in Europe. Also, the Aussie version is not very good.

Speaking of TV Brits visiting the US, have you see Stephen Fry (Jeeves) in America, especially the segment through the South?

Very interesting program, not at all the stereotypical entertainer-looks-at-the-poor-benighted-South.

Netflix has it.

The BBC Top Gear is the only show I record, the US version sucks. All they did was try to copy the BBC version.

Don’t mis the Richard Hammonds Crash Test, great show.

I also want to see more of James may Toys show.

Overall all of them make a great team. Its a cools show with repeat view-ability. And of course the mock most US made cars, because its true.

Yes, I don't like Fry and I think we was very condescending to you Americans. I thought it was the typical Brit views of the USA.

>Jeremy Clarkson can be very anti-American

He is absolutely not fond of America or Americans. I believe that’s due to a fairly common streak about nationalistic Brits that blame the U.S. for the loss of British glory on the world stage.

I like him because he’s a nationalistic Brit who hates the whole PC nonsense (he really hates the AGW farce). I haven’t quite decided if he’s as anti-American as he seems or if he just panders to that crowd as part of his public persona. Being anti-American is an easy way to troll for popularity in Europe. The U.S. has not been popular there for quite some time.

At least he is also anti-German, anti-Italian and anti-France (and that is not the complete list).
