Bill Clinton thought so little of President Obama — mocking him as an “amateur” — that he pressed his wife last summer to quit her job as secretary of state and challenge him in the primaries, a new book claims,

Clinton may be a sleeze, but at least he’s an intelligent sleeze.

As for the Cretin-in-Chief...that loon couldn’t turn on a light without teleprompter assistance.

Most of us on FR kenw that in 2007 when Zero kicked off his campaign. He is a good snake oil salesman, but a horrible president.

Regnery is a conservative house so this must be taken with several grains of salt. Does the author anywhere explain how he acquired these direct quotes of a family conversation?

Plagiarizing ME from earlier:

“O” is increasingly ridiculous....

The DNC rashly shoved this plaster-board god onto the stage for public adulation.

The plaster-board god remained immoveable and inert in the spotlight, exposed to the full weight of public scrutiny … just that ONE instant too long,

The light still glares, the applause continues, and the public remains agape, suspended in this pathetic, hypnotic limbo... BUT, with every moment that passes… it’s apparent just how powerless, artificial and ridiculous he is!!!

Yes... the operative word is ridiculous.

Maybe it’s what Napoleon I meant when he said: “It’s only one step from the sublime to the ridiculous”

Klein, a former editor of The New York Times Magazine and Newsweek, defended the book and his earlier one as factually sound.

Hussein is going to get rich while in the White House. he will join the ranks of the global glitterati who constantly seek to rule the world.

“For the children”, of course.

I’ve said years ago that Clinton probably laughed at Obama as a leftist nitwit. Clinton wouldn’t have made half the mistakes Obama made. Not that I’m a big fan of Slick Willy, but he was more an opportunist than an ideologue.

I’ve said, since he had been in office for about six months, that he is an amateur.

I now say that he is either an incompetent boob that will go down in utter disgrace, or he is so smart that he is thinking a hundred moves ahead and he is the Beast in Revelation, in which case it will take God’s direct, overt intervention to bring him down.

Right now, I believe he is the former, but my position could “evolve”.

I recall Clinton’s sly dig (pre Obummer’s election) about Obummer could be Prez if he were an American citizen...and waited to see how the Clintons would proceed on that...and nada. So why did Clinton keep his trap shut thereafter, and why is Hillary then “rewarded” as Secretary of State? The Clintons could have blown the whistle, and didn’t, so all the smarts in the world can’t make up for moral cowardice. I’m fairly sure if the Clintons told on Obummer, Obummer would have told on the Clintons. This is what our gov’t is reduced to...each is blackmailed into silence.

To this day, the Clintons find it hard to believe that the media who covered up their library of indiscretions, manipulation and thievery threw them under the bus for the new kid on the block.

It would have made the year interesting, to say the least.
History suggests that the result would've been the incumbent losing the White House. But with 0 so unpopular, such a rematch -- ugly as it would've been -- would've gone Hillary's way early on (IMO). So while 0 would've been out, it wouldn't have necessarily gone to the GOP.
