One of Bammy's butt "brothas" in Houston, Al Green, is currently on tv saying that the "first gay president" isn't really a big deal because they dubbed clinton as the "first black president" - but didn't say anything about the halo around his head. He did claim all the 2.something million jobs bammy has created...???

(funny but when I was proofreading this I had left out the word "million" after jobs so it read 2.something jobs...which is of course wrong since he has 20 or 30 czars jobs he created but probably closer to the truth than several million)

The chatter here is that it may not be feasible to keep Crosby-Malkin-Staal. Do you keep Staal as a formidible, young #2 center or keep Malkin to be a backup to Crosby in case of injury?

If Rand Paul slurred Obama by saying “gayer,” then Newsweek just did so too.

When, of human events, in the course’ll
Let a fraud like Obama ensorcell
Those weak and deranged
Who want liberty changed
They’ll be happy to beg for each morsel

No, people are not self aware. I knew I was “different”, when in 10th grade, I went to a weekend long leadership conference. On the last day, they had a motivational speaker, getting 200 teenagers all pumped up. Seriously, there were girls at my table who were crying.....this guy was just stoking up everyone’s emotions. And I felt myself also with the euphoric feelings, until CRASH! I woke up. It was so strange, but I realized that I was being deliberately manipulated into feeling something.......and so it just stopped for me. But I looked around, and everyone else was totally swept away. And I was alone. It is a lesson I never forgot.

And I remembered it watching the last election and the raptures people were experiencing. They are trying to recreate it again this year, but apparently, I am not the only one that woke up.

Maybe Newsweek just broke a real story?

Rush Limbaugh refers to those rare occurrences by the mainstream media as "random acts of journalism."

i meant to tell you at the prom on Saturday, when xsjr’s date wanted to slow dance, she told him, well just so you know, i have never done this, so am not sure what i am doing. he said oh don’t worry I DID COTILLIION! is this suthren or society kind of stuff or what?? i know it’s common at her HS for kids to have done it, esp boys, and i associate it with Alexandria VA snoots, but really am not even sure what it is. Lemme tell yinz, ain’t no cotillions in the Burgh! at least not where i grew up!

Once my dad’s best friend hired a fiddler and had a square dance party. That is as close to cotillion as I ever got.....

I wonder about Malkin, he played so well when the eggshell capt was out nursing his cracked skull and he seemed to recede again in the playoffs when sid was back. i think he would perform better if he weren’t in the background.

it’s bizarre to me. robin roberts, if that’s what her name is, that interviewed him when he CAME OUT for gay marriage, said she had CHILLS. i mean SERIOUSLY, how can you be a grown up, ostensible professional journalist and say that kind of crap?

We had a similiar thing when I was in high school - some of the country club Moms started up a sort of dance club and we had various dances throughout the year - a sock hop, a formal, a country music dance, etc. It was a lot of fun and of course prepared us for a future of not making a fool of ourselves in front of others. ;^)

i think like anderson cooper, commonly understood to be gay, but not openly gay, and of course that’s likely why she was chosen for the interview.
