There are plenty of people here in America with worthwhile, productive jobs, who aren't in any meaningful sense "living off" anybody else. But: for them, America is just the place they live and work. It doesn't really mean anything to them. Yes, they're US Citizens ... if they have a passport it's the same as mine. But patriotism is meaningless to them, being "American" is simply a legal fact, love of country is lost on them. They just live here. When Bam-Bam and his ilk talk about "fundamental transformation", it doesn't bother them. Why should it? America is nothing special to them.
