RIP, Chuck Brown. he was a DC icon, Go-Go music is indigenous the the DC area. This guy was huge when i first moved here in 1978. This is a great song, btw : ) and blacks my age equally lament today's rap/hiphop mess. i was talking to one of the secretaries here this AM about how music was so much better back in the day.
