The prices for ammo are ridiculous. I load my fullbore 405 grain .45-70 rounds with a Lee Precision Loader for .14 cents a piece. The roundball is .06 per round. Full rounds, primer and everything else.
About the same cost as a .22LR, but it leaves a 1/2 inch hole. Not bad.
I can’t do reloads on the trail. I’ll have to buy it.
