I have never seen that site. It is nearly unbelievable.

I find myself unable to tolerate people who refuse to see what is happening with too many blacks in the US.

This level of depraved violence, the regularity of it and the constant active steps on the part of the media to ignore it. It's out of control.

I carry a pistol, like so many others do now. I've lived in large east coast cities my whole life. I wouldn't have ever thought about carrying a weapon 20 years ago.

The apparent acceptance, or the fear of speaking out about it, is nearly as disturbing as the killings themselves.

The average number of crimes (violent + property) stateside is 10m per year*. The average offender has about 40 years of crime in him - mid-teens to mid-50's. 40 years of crime = 400m crimes. Assuming that 1 individual is on average responsible for 40 crimes, that means 10m perps. Roughly half of those perps will be black - 5m - based on historical stats about the racial distribution of crime. This is why it is estimated that 1/3 of the male black population has been through the criminal justice system. And it is why the black community supports its criminals and attempts to get them off every chance it gets - the alternative is to have many more of them serving time in prison or being executed for heinous crimes like this one. My SWAG suggests that the odds are 1 out of every ten black guys you run into on the street could be a violent perp, vs 1 out of every 100 white guys. Bottom line is that the average civilian isn't being racist when he's wary around black males he's not acquainted with - he's merely subconsciously digested the statistical truth behind the crime stories in the news even though the press has studiously avoided drawing any useful conclusions from the data.

* It's actually more, but I'm rounding down.

I used to think that it was a myth that the 50's (and even the 60's) was much safer. However, if San Diego PD's stats are to be believed, per capita violent crime was in fact much lower 50 years ago; better emergency medical care has turned many shooting and stabbing incidents that would have become murder cases back in the 1950's into aggravated assault cases today. In 2006, per capita robberies were 6x what they were in 1950. Per capita aggravated assaults (shootings, stabbings) were 15x.
