The streams almost certainly use caching/buffering to ensure an uninterrupted broadcast and/or to combat interruptions in net traffic.

If you’re running a strict read-only OS i.e. there is no disk folder to write to for buffering purposes perhaps that is where the incompatibility lies.

I think it’s just about Linux.

I’m guessing there’s enough overlap between the Linux user base, and iHeart listeners, they’re going to find themselves overloaded with feedback, and I’m hoping they’ll do something to rectify the issue within 48 hours or so.
