IIRC Crump was in contact with D D longer then the few days. The fact that he spoke with her before LEO had a chance to interview her, one would think should taint her “witness” to ANY comments from TM.
Crump should have gone immediately to the police with the information and let them speak with the “child”.

I don't have any handle on the interval between Martin/Crump finding DeeDee, and DeeDee's first public appearance. I agree that speaking to Crump first can be seen as imputing some risk of taint, the bigger risk is that she had access to a series of 911 recordings before she made her first statement.
