Back in March, NBC News teamed up with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce to launch Hiring Our Heroes, an initiative to get veterans back into the workforce. Among the many organizations to step forward and pledge to hire vets and military spouses was the rock back KISS.
KISS's job opening was for a roadie to work their upcoming summer tour with Motley Crue, and more than 1,900 hopefuls applied. And this morning on the plaza, The Demon himself, Gene Simmons was on hand to give veteran Paul Jordan a big surprise: He had been chosen to the new KISS roadie!
Paul has logged in over 27 years of military service, and served three tours of duty in Iraq and Afghanistan. He has had even more service as a veteran in the KISS Army (with a tattoo of Simmons to prove it), having been a rabid fan of the band since he was 4. So when Simmons told him on-air that the coveted job was his, Paul was ecstatic –particularly since he'd been looking for work for a year and a half.

Really, he’s getting a great deal in the process. A trained, disciplined military vet is going to have far better capability in the field on a road tour than some half conscious stoned roadie.
Yeah, he and Paul Stanley are probably the two smartest men in Rock & Roll out there.
nice of him... I still wouldn’t do it based on my belief in God. KISS stands for knights in satan’s service, so I would tend to stay far away from that stuff.

The members of Kiss included two practricing Jews (Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley), a practicing Catholic (Peter Criss) and a Protestant in Ace Frehley.
The band’s original name was Wicked Lester. They later changed it to Kiss and donned the kabuki make-up because they saw that David Johannson’s (Buster Poindexter) band the New York Dolls were getting gigs and publicity for wearing womens make-up on stage.
It was an angle. It was a schtick. It was a gimmick.

Gene Simmons said it himself in an interview, that’s why they put on makeup etc to look like demons. I’m just repeating what Simmons himself said.
Again, please point me to this interview wherein I can read it or view it and judge for myself.
I have seen countless times where Gene Simmons has visited wounded veterans in hospitals in the United States and in Israel wherein he says “God bless you” to the men. I’ve seen him pray in Hebrew with wounded IDF troops.
These are hardly the actions of a man who has commited himself to be a “knight in service to Satan”.
Show me the interview. Give me a link or a cite to the printed article or a site address on the internet. I appreciate and respect your faith and your willingness to share it here. But, I must respectfully express my doubts regarding your claim.

It’s amusing and he’s remarkably normal... even ran into him at the MN State Fair a few years back. He was walking around eating a corn dog prior to the KISS concert.
