Where was your uncle stationed?

My dad flew B-29's out of Guam, bombing oil refineries. He was on Northwest Field, Guam. Part of the 315th Heavy bombardment Group.

My uncle enlisted in the Army Air Corps 1942 and completed Navigation School at Hondo, TX. He served in India with the 58th Bomb Wing attached to the 44th Bombardment Group. He was discharged from the USAF in 1945 as a Captain. He was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross, Air Medal with two Oak Leaf Clusters, Asia Pacific Service Medal and the Distinguished Unit Badge.

Did your dad pass on any short snorters to you? My cousin passed on his dad's short snorters with pride to his three sons, all of whom served in the US Military.
