According to Metsblog, Bill Maher has ponied up $20million to buy an interest in the New York Mets.
A very small interest. He's an investor, not an owner. Not a very big deal, unless you're the type who refuses to buy a Macbook because someone you hate owns a few shares of Apple stock.

I amazed he’s amassed 20 mil from his one hour a week on HBO. Does he do more that I don’t know about ? HBO is overpaying him.
