As a Yankees fan, my typical reaction to the Mets, and Yankees-hating Mets fans has always been "I don't hate the Mets. I NOTHING the Mets. The Mets fortunes have been relevant to Yankees fans exactly twice in history: In 1986, when I actually rooted for the Mets, and in 2000, when they were an overmatched WS opponent for a Yankees dynasty.

My reaction to Bill Mahr has always been pretty much the same. I NOTHING the man. Thus, it takes the combination of the two to finally make me hate both.

Sort of like "Two great tastes that taste great together," only exactly the opposite.

And in those two series per season since 1997 when they meet in interleague play.
