If repaid TARP was apllied back to repaying the debt, then it would reflect in a reduced deficit

I think this also shows what the democrats will do with any revenues they raise by eliminating “the Bush tax cuts”.. which obama actually owns, because he extended them in 2010

They will simply increase spending

Like a junkie with a credit card - you get an extended line of credit and more money, you pay down the balance? FAT CHANCE

Eliminating the Bush tax cuts would slow the economy and actually lower federal revenues. The downside to supply side economics is that it works so well that federal revenues increase and this would further aggravate the federal spending crisis.
