I’ve been a proud member of Free Republic since the day Jim accepted membership entries.
Before that I posted for a long time when it was called the White Water forum.

Now, in regards to what I said about Islam and Sharia Law ... this is pretty much the same idea. The idea here is (just like in that example) to remove someone from actually discussing the issue at hand - namely the theology and teachings and doctrines involved - in order to understand what the PROBLEM is.
Perhaps that singing group didn’t have that in mind - but “using” that song in order to dismiss the real issues that Evangelicals have with false and apostate doctrines - and in which they say that a person loses their very SOUL over it (those false teachings and doctrines) - is a very serious problem.
Remember, the Evangelicals of today are in a very long historical line of Christians who SEPARATED from false doctrines and false teachings and the man-made earthly authority - instead of the TRUE authority of the Word of God — BECAUSE — it was an issue in which one would SUFFER LOSS OF THEIR VERY SALVATION ... over those false teachings and false doctrines.
That’s how serious it is to the Evangelicals. It’s the VERY CORE EXISTENCE of Christianity itself - which is at stake here. And that’s not an exaggeration that I’m making up. It is considered to be at the core of Christianity - that is - teaching about salvation correctly - which is the “gospel per the scriptures” — resulting in eternal salvation through Jesus Christ alone - or - teaching false doctrines and false ways - resulting in the loss of one’s soul (as the Bible states it) - to “eternal damnation”.
SO ... there might be a lot of other SIDE ISSUES which could be a lot less important. But, this particular issue - is at the VERY APEX of Christianity and - as the Evangelicals maintain - affect a person’s VERY DESTINY ... eternally.
Who made them? I want to add them to my new list I’ve just started that only has humblegunner’s name on it 20 times. I need names.
