If you can imagine salmon mixed and angus combined, that’s what it’s like. It’s fishy, but it is very red, and not red like bonito. I don’t think Tokyo people eat it, but it is very popular around Osaka and my wife, who is from Kyoto, used to eat whale burgers in the 70’s-80’s because beef was so expensive in Japan.
I’ve had some Taiji dolphin too. Good stuff. Why they let non-whaling countries on the IWC is beyond me - the Japanese have been doing this for a thousand years.
