Drudge says he’s on unemployment.
So it’s definitely Obama’s fault.

Just like my sons and their friends did in the 70s.(I found out about 20 years later).

What do you think happened at Woodstock?

sometimes a nut is just a nut.

Sometimes you feel like a nut, sometimes you don't...

I wonder if he was one of those Comic-Con fanatics.

sometimes a nut is just a nut.

Sometimes a nut is a cigar. (Or was it the other way around?)

That doesn’t mean its “staged”. That means its a copycat crime. “Staged” means faked. This was most definitely not faked.

'... a convert to Islam.'

A number of things point to this...
*He was initially IDd by Oates as Iranian Muhammed Alam
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/2908624/posts?page=129
*He did this as the calendar flipped to Ramadan
*He noted his new interest in illicit sex as 'shenanigans'
*New York and Paris went into immediate panic mode.

None of this compelling, just odd for a 'lone gunman'.

If his weapons came out of Fast and Furious, then a CT might develop. Not counting on it.

Why not? He was considered a brilliant student by his professors, verging on genius (FOX news). I don't know many geniuses but I'm sure any run of the mill genius could come up with this idea on his own. Just say'n

The idea is not his . The idea belongs to Frank Miller .
The crime is a copy cat of a Bat Man comic book.

Brilliant student does not = genius BTW

All due respect, FR has become a place where threads are started for the exchange of thoughts...only to be shut down by posters who simply say "don't give it any thought...just accept what I say".

I am not a "jeanious". Sometimes my low, sloping forehead blocks my vision of the keyboard and causes me to post typos, only to be followed by a dozen gramma nazis letting me know my IQ is that of a doorknob.

But back to this sick bastard...certainly part of me says he may just be an insane ass, while a larger part of that tells me this was far more than one man. I have some experience in the subject...certainly not an expert, so I would like to openly hear what others have to say...does not mean I will swallow the pill they deliver...yet nor would I dream of telling them their thoughts are inane and different from mine; therefore wrong.

Instead, I appreciate their thoughts and bravery for discussing them in an open forum. Although we have anonymity behind a screen & keyboard, we cannot hide from our own ego. The know-it-alls quash egos for their own entertainment at will. I grimace every time I read it here.

As for no obvious background, he had a degree in neuroscience and as I said, worked in the research lab at the medical school. So as far as rigging the apartment with explosives and booby traps, he was certainly smart enough to figure out how to do that without any help plus might have had access to chemicals. He might be bat guano crazy but that doesn’t mean he is stupid.

Cmon...wake up! This guy would have to be some kind of...BRAIN SCIENTIST to do this on his own. Also, he'd need some sort of magical instant access through some sort of elaborate set of computing devices to all the information all over the world about chemicals, explosives, and booby traps to booby trap his apartment by himself. COMPLETELY implausible.

His behavior doesn't add up.. His behavior already reveals stark inconsistencies that question the mainstream explanation of events. For example, he opened fire on innocent people but then calmly surrendered to police without resistance. This is not consistent with the idea of "killing everyone."

So, the person who does an irrational thing doesn't do rational things in accordance with the rationale the author ascribes to them? Stunning.

It's not possible to peek inside a mad man's mind and make sense of anything there.

I disagree. His actions were very organized and his motive was plain, being based on Heath Ledger's portrayal of "The Joker" in The Dark Knight. He gave himself up because he didn't want to be killed - not part of the plan. I don't know about giving up his booby traps. Maybe he judged that they hadn't worked as the distraction he had planned, so he thought he'd make it easier on himself by telling about it. Dunno. Anyway, I'm not buying "just nuts".

He noted on his July 5 signup at that swingers’ site as a comment, that he was a nice as guy can be ‘for these shenanigans’.

9/11 bombers going to strip clubs right before, etc.
