That is the worst researched article I’ve read on this, even more than CBS. First, the gear wasn’t that exotic. Most of it you can pick up at any army/navy store or online. The explosives seem to have been mostly made from fireworks and commercial ‘pantry’ products from what is being reported has been found. s and that is if he didn’t get the guns on sale. Depending on the level of body armor and the type of gas mask, you can get those dirt cheap (you can find surplus gas masks for $10 online, body armor as low as $100 for the lowest grade).
I think some folks are over-playing this the same way the media overplays the ‘assault weapon’ angle. The author of that is the other side of the CBS/Mike Ross coin.
