Well, Miami is only technically still part of the US, from all accounts. ;-)

(I’ve only been to the airport).

Yes, truly wild. They’ve had more sightings of bears in that area in the last few days.

Is “33” unlucky for anyone except old Rolling Rock employees?

I’m in row 34, the numbers skip 33 inexplicably. Like it’s a 13th floor.

Then there was that movie in the 90s about women escaping from men whom they despised, which ended in a car crashing over a cliff: Anathema and Louise.

The anti-drilling lunatics need to mind their own fracking business...

I don’t see anyone happy with
The programs Obama supports
We see their tendency already
To end up being argued in courts

Hence, they are all anathema
To anyone thinking clearly-
However all the words are parsed
His projects will cost us dearly

And no matter how much koolaid
The unwashed masses will consume
Sooner or later, even those sheep
Will be led to their financial doom

I hear the usual suspects sobbing about “gun control”-shamefully using senseless tragedy to push an agenda (ala Brady’s law), while in the meantime, the PD and other bomb experts are finding possibly explosive packages at the madman’s work site.

I’m sure I’m not the only one concerned that this mass murderer managed to get exposive materials openly delivered to him to make and arm enough IED’s at one location to cause death and a conflagration, and possibly more at his work location. Can just anyone purchase tear gas canisters and bomb-making chemicals?

Tear gas is stupefying, crowd control stuff used by cops to tame dangerous situations with armed bad guys-this murderer tossed it into a crowded theater to render his intended victims helpless and easier to shoot. Shouldn’t the weeping and wailing be directed at the availability of chemicals like that instead of guns and ammo? Just my opinion...

they need to ban NUTS and not the guns. a nut is going to FIND a way to pull off mayhem, even if he was boobytrapping with KNIVES and spears etc.

Thank you! Husky girl wagged her tail and watched with interest, just like she watches TV, but Titus glared, hissed and ran under the kitchen table.

does your purse dog even know other dogs exist or does he think he’s the center of the universe, since your family has undoubtedly told him as much ; )

Amen! One of my neighbors and I were talking about crime and madness, and I pointed out several historical references to what we now call mass murderers during the middle ages. There are also references to such crimes in Roman historical writings-awful as it sounds, evil has been around as long as we humans have-and as long as humans have minds, it seems that some will be mad/psychotic as well.

I think the only logical way to mitigate the damage dine by a psycho is to be aware of someone doing something scary and weird like-oh, maybe pursuing a fantasy of being a movie/literary criminal, while ordering tear gas, body armor and chemicals to make IEDs-and inform someone who can get them away before they can do any harm.

That is funny! I just fed the pets a few minutes ago, and when I set their food bowls down, Titus detoured about 10 feet around the computer desk while watching it to get to the food, while the other cats and Husky girl just walked right by it without a glance.

There’s no accounting for Quebecers.

As for the rest, if they dressed *too* well, you’d call them gay. So I’m OK with what they have. Suited up, but didn’t put too much thought into it.

Both Obama AND Romney are anathema to everything I support as a conservative.

My dear dad was heartbroken when George Romney lost the nomination - he loved the guy.

I’m so glad Dad is no longer here to see what an abominable candidate Mitt is, although Dad would (sadly) probably support him and would be sad that I cannot.

What is truly sad are the so-called conservatives on this site who are willing cheerleaders for ABO, and how stridently they oppose anyone who will NOT waste their precious vote on a tyrannical statist bully.

That street goes both ways. Those on my side of that divide feel that reelecting Obama means the literal end of our nation. Yet we are called mittbots and RINOs. I accept that you cannot vote for Romney. What offends me is the continual nonstop trashing of Romney on a supposedly conservative website. We get it. You hate him. But is your aim with the endless jpgs and vitriol to convince other conservatives NOT to vote for him? Because, if so, you are doing obamas work and that just boggles my mind. I comfort myself with the knowledge that no conservatives that I know in real life will stay home or vote for a third party for president. Everyone I know is TERRIFIED of an Obama victory and is doing everything in their power to make sure he is NOT elected. B9 you and I have always been friendly. It pains me to see this divide on FR. But our country is at stake in this election. I respect your choice, I hope you will respect mine and it’s my fervent wish that FR would at least DO NO HARM.

But is your aim... to convince other conservatives NOT to vote for him?

Many Californians here learned the hard way from dear Arnold Schwarzenegger that it is futile to vote for a Democrat In Conservative Clothing. Finny has the right idea, encouraging a vote for third party to weaken the win. Maybe it's a California thing. I don't blame others who've not been through the Schwarzenegger chaos. You just can't see it. Yet.
