I woke up singing this at 5:30 am, and it is still in my head-
“Well, just look at that girl with the lights comin’ up in her eyes.
She’s got to be somebody’s baby
She must be somebody’s baby.
All the guys on the corner stand back and let her walk on by.
She’s got to be somebody’s baby
She must be somebody’s baby
She’s got to be somebody’s baby
She’s so fine”
It must have been playing sometime last night on the classic rock station I leave on all night-it isn’t even my favorite Jackson Browne song...
All that ID showing, and there are still people who howl discrimination if it is for a voter ID-what a crock. When I work as a subcontractor for another contractor, I always get asked for an ID if the contractor does not know me-and I ask helpers for ID, too-you have to to be safe.
That song is in Fast Times at Ridgemont High, when they’re having sex in the dugout.
The new thing is to claim it’s a poll tax, since poor people will be hard pressed to obtain the birth certificates, etc.
They should make it free to avoid this issue. If poor folks can’t afford a “non driver I’d” they should be given it.
Small price to pay.
There are several programs here that get free ID’s for those who can’t afford to pay-some church groups even provide transportation-the whining is just the dishonest lamenting the fact that they won’t have an easy time of committing voter fraud.
I remember the song from that movie-but I haven’t heard it in many months-until last night in my dreams, it seems...
That’s Awesome
Hi Ti! We’re in the DC area, touring, and my schedule is upside down. That’s why I posted last week’s thread with two dates. Thanks for posting a thread.
I have been busy, didn’t recall you were on vacation. I think you all picked the same week to go. Enjoy yourself!
I don’t know about cashing a check - good question
Saw a woman on the US volleyball team named “Destinee Hooker”.
I hope that’s a married name.
Oh!
