Rocket attack..rocket attack. In a calm female British accent and the booms is all I've heard for the past two and a half hours. Them Ramadam-a-dingalings are in an uproar today.

VanDeKoik I’m at a stinkhole called Kandahar. We just got the “All clear...all clear” in that same accent 3 min. ago with the “Rocket attack coming on again before the all clear was finished, been like that all afternoon.

Ah, technology. When we got attacked at Cam Ranh, there was no warning, just explosions.

I was in Iraq when the very first Strykers got there. I was a 51T at that time and I layed out the base they all came to. That FOB went from about 100 people to something like a few 1000 over night. I sat at the entry point and watched every last Stryker enter the FOB.
I’m guessing that was 2004 at FOB Marez? 3rd SBCT was the first Brigade I was assigned to, where I did my (very long) PL time. Great unit.
My Battalion Commander in that BDE is now the BDE CDR for 2nd SBCT. I was his BDE S6 for a few months. Harsh guy, but VERY smart.
Thanks plenty but I think your a bit south for economical shipping by the looks of that snake (what kind of critter is it?). The only venomous varmints we have here in MN are Democrats.
I have a little rivet forge now, but I’m thinking of a masonry forge with a square pan when I get the other 11,967 projects done. I was a member of a blacksmith guild for a number of years and learned an awful lot from the old geezers there, but when I get home and fool around I know I need two things: A shop set-up like yours and about 25 years of experience.
