I just heard that anybody caught traveling in that town will be arrested. The mayor should be forcefully thrown out of office for doing such a thing like that in this country.
What about people coming to help people clean up? I know I helped when the tornado hit Western Ma last June, despise some elected officials whining non-residnets were coming into the areas to help friends/family clean up.
Arrested? Why? I followed the storm last night, which was technically a small derecho, and a couple of Elmira people chimed in, but it didn’t seem like the damage was that bad (at the time, 9pcst)
Why should he be thrown out?
Isn’t he protecting the damaged properties from looters?
After Irene passed through our area, the only way anyone could go certain towns is if they could prove they had a residence there. Otherwise they had to find an alternative route. This was done to prevent looting and give residents some privacy from sightseers.
