Wisconsin Temple Shooting Hero Cop Brian Murphy Shot 8 Times, Waved Off Aid

A police officer shot at least eight times in the neck and extremities outside the Sikh temple in Oak Creek, Wis, waved off fellow officers attempting to rescue him and indicated they should assist others still inside.

Lt. Brian Murphy, 51, was shot Sunday and is now recovering in the hospital after a second surgery, Oak Creek Police Chief John Edwards said. The 21-year veteran of the police force is expected to survive.

"[Murphy] received eight or nine gunshot wounds, to extremities and also to the cheek area and the neck," Edwards said. "He was in very close proximity to the shooter. When he arrived, he came upon someone who was injured, and he was going to assist that individual when the shooter came around him, close to his squad, and hit him at a close distance."

The officer was wearing a bullet proof vest, Edwards said.

After gunman Wade Page was shot and killed by other officers, they moved to rescue Murphy. But when they located him, Murphy indicated that rather than help him they should enter the temple to assist any other victims.

I’m wondering if somebody can answer something for me.

Almost every story I’ve seen has led off with the statement this guy was an Army veteran, as if this is the most relevant fact about him, or the most important in explaining the motive, or as if he just got out last week.

Yet he has been out of the Army for 15 years or so, and surely his life since is more relevant to the shootings.

Why do they do this? Is it only because it’s one of the few pieces of information about the guy they have?

“Why do they do this?”

The libtard media does this for a very simple reason... they hate the military. They hate what it stands for. They hate patriotism. They hate the idea that men and women serve their Country. So, whether the shooter got out of the military last week or thirty years ago is relevant to them because the “military” is filled with patriotic people just waiting to do an atrocity. It is disgusting, isn’t it?!

Very strange. If I did something like this, it would seem very odd if every story about me led off by mentioning a job I had 15 years ago.

MSM has hated the military for decades now.
Back in the late 60s and especially throughout the 70s, the media would always label someone a Vietnam Vet as if that explained what ever horrendous event had just occurred.
I fought tooth and nail w/ my local paper and TV stations over this for years.
In fact, just a year ago, some 60 y/o guy was busted for DWI ... not having renewed his license in 40 years ... and he was a VN vet.
I called the TV station and angrily asked WTF VN had to do with it? They agreed, and cut that from the story.

Where do we find men such as these?

They are all around us but since they don't brag they go quietly about their business.
They are veterans who have been to see the tiger and did not shirk.

GtG
