We could do this all night; it's such a great movie. I heard somewhere that John Wayne thought that he had two Oscar-worthy performances - Liberty Valance and She Wore A Yellow Ribbon. I might add one or two more but it is a shame he wasn't recognized for either of those, but instead for a movie where he was good, but not great.
