virtuosity bordering on magic is what it seems like, watching him play.

Christ would definitely not be a RAT. I actually don’t think he’d spend himself on politics at all. His Father’s kingdom consumed him and this world’s kingdoms meant nothing to him at all.

No - you’re right. But Lake sang with them for their “simulcast” concert in Japan, 1983.

Lake was cring-worthy on some of those songs, but I just read where he had 6-weeks to learn the lyrics and bass parts...

"I went to see ELP on their Black Moon tour - they were still REALLY good. I had my doubts as a tv show of a Greg Lake (with ASIA??) concert his singing was awful."

"I thought John Wetton sang for Asia."

He does. But he was replaced by Greg Lake for the Asia In Asia show (MTV's first live satellite broadcast) because John drank contractual difficulties.

But he must be ok these days, because Howe and Downes will step out of Yes and directly back into Asia within a very short span this fall.

Yes has become a total disgrace...absolutely time for them to pack it in or get Jon, Trevor, and Tony or Igor back into the band with Billy Sherwood. Steve looks like the crypt keeper and while playing fluid...is not a rock guitarist any longer AT ALL. Chris is playing like shit and Alan has no life left in him.

Asia’s new record has a grand total of 2 good songs on it. Their last one wasn’t even released in the states...I believe it was called “Omega”...that too had 2 good songs on it. Phoenix was a very good record however and should have been promoted better.

John got his wake up call finding out all of his arteries were clogged and he was about to die prior to recording Phoenix.
