Separation of church and state.
When the church ran things, we had the dark ages and the Inquisition.
No thanks. No Torquemada in the White House.

Jesus Christ was a Jewish Rabbi.
So you should never vote for him I suppose.

A good government is independent of religion. Government’s job is to create a legal framework to protect individual rights, a justice system and a prosperous economy - and if necessary, national defense.

Milton Friedman was a Jew and his sage advice helped Pinochet build a great economy in Chile.

John James Cowperthwaite was a Jew and he presided over Athiest Chinese to build one of the most prosperous economies on earth - in a place with no natural resources nor inherent wealth - Hong Kong.

Lee Kuan Yew built Singapore into a modern first world nation in just 20 years - from the ruins of WWII. He did not have Christians, but his people were barely little better than slaves - coolie laborers from the plantations of Malaysia. Chinese and Indians brought over by the British to save away in the hot Asian sun - with these people he built a nation that is astoundingly prosperous, safe and beautiful. Would you prefer a Christian like Jimmy Carter?

Keynes was a Christian anti-semite and developed the economic theories that confound our societies until this very day.

Of course, never vote for a Muslim.
Anybody who follows a 7th century cult formed by a violent, vicious, epileptic, pedophile, sexual deviant, brigand and murderer cannot be trusted.

Sorry but I can’t agree with you. The 1st amendment says: “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof.” The term seperation of church and state was used in a letter by Thomas Jefferson to the Danbury Baptist Association in 1802. They were concerned that the government would create a denomination, much like the Church of England, and force everyone to attend and/or pay homage. Jefferson wrote to reassure them. The goal of the 1st amendment was to protect the church from the government and not vice versa. The Supreme Court, notably Hugo Black, got hold of Jefferson’s writing and twisted it out of context. Seperation of church and state has come to mean that churches can’t participate in the political debate. The founding fathers didn’t mean this at all. Church services used to be regularly held in the House of Representatives. Religious references garnish writings and speeches of great statesmen, presidents, and politicians since we were founded. They are found on practically all of our national monumnets and buildings. This would be impossible if they were being erected today. Our nation was founded via a Judeo-Christian ethic. If you are open-mined, please check your history and you will discover that this is true. I could go on but I’ll leave it at that. God bless you and give us all wisdom. We need it, especially when we close the doors to the voting booth. Leaders need Godly wisdom to make good and wise decisions. Sorry if that offends you.
