Where will Sarah be in 2013? (Vanity)
WileyC

Posted on 08/21/2012 10:50:04 AM PDT by WileyC

We now know Palin (May I call you Sarah? We're friends, right?) won't be Romney's VP pick for 2012. She would be fine in the job, no doubt, especially given her rapidly increasing political savvy and inherent good sense. Despite 2008, her best stage will be national or better from now on.

While it's a shame that immoral and unethical (if not technically illegal) attacks forced her to resign being governor, their loss is our gain. And boy, do the liberals wish she was just a governor now. Being free of that role has allowed her to really blossom as one of the modern leaders of the conservative movement, something she would not have been able to do as merely 1 of 50.

It should be obvious to even the tone-deaf inside the beltway republicans that she (and the Tea Party movement) are not going away. If Romney wins and provides the leadership, and Ryan brings the intellectual gravitas (love that word), then Palin can be the attack dog to weed out corruption and waste. I can easily see her in the the Romney administration if he has the guts (as his choice of Ryan seems to indicate). Honestly, except her lack of a formal legal eduction, the justice department looks like it'd be right up her alley. Let the trained lawyers give her legal muscle... she'd just point them in the right direction. If one thing Eric Holder has proven, it's that you don't need either brains or legal acumen to head that agency.

Regardless, a position of some authority and the guts to use it are desperately required in the executive branch for a real reformer and she has plenty of the latter. She took on her own party (and won!) in Alaska and there's no reason why she wouldn't bring that same energy to D.C.

And if that doesn't drive the left crazy enough, maybe this would lead to Ryan/Palin in 2020 and 2024, setting her up for 2028. Any nonsense about her lack of experience would be laughed away with a solid track record behind her.

Really? All I’ve seen from JimRob is that he will never, ever vote for Romney. I think it’s foolish, but that’s his opinion.

As for Sarah being “shut out”, I wasn’t aware that she wanted in.

I think you are wrong on both counts. Give you a pass on number two as it is your opinion, but you definitely got the first one wrong.

What time is the leader of the Reagan wing of the party speaking at Romney’s convention? Who is JR voting for?

Senator if she wants it.

FWIW my son and I just got back from the Ryan ralley ib Pittsburgh. He’s good, great even but he isn’t Sarah. The crowd, while good sized at a couple thousand, wasn’t overly inspired. We cheered, clapped and waved flags but it wasn’t like a Palin crowd. Or a Tea Party crowd for that matter.

It might have been because we arrived early, waited outside in the hot sun for half an hour, passed security then stood on a concrete warehouse floor for another 2 hours before the speeches started.

Several candidates spoke, there were the usual local political hacks, some speaking and some not, and some like Jim Roddy noticibly absent.

It got so bad that when a new speaker was announced there were grons from the audience and some people grumbled about having to wait so long.

After 3 hours Ryan arrived and made a fine speech but it really didn’t fire up the crowd. As soon as he finished and while he was glad handing, most people just left.

It took another hour to make our way out of the lot.

Ryan is the best thing to happen since Sarah but he isn’t her.

So...why don’t you think Palin has what it takes to be at the top of the ticket?

-—— her best stage will be national———

I suspect she will be on stages making speeches and making money but her best political days are in the past.

She might be an Ambassador or on some special commission but not an elected office. So far as I can tell, she lacks a following in Alaska able to get her elected to the Congress or the Senate.

I have seen no evidence she even wants to advance politically.

Her conservative thought and philosophy and oratory are great

I found the article you cited. Glad to see JimRob has come around to sanity. As recently as when Paul Ryan was picked he was still swearing he would never vote for Romney.

That would be a good choice. My favorite would be head of the EPA if only for all the fun of watching all the libtard heads explode.

Hey P6, thanks for the FReport :) i was wondering how the event went...glad there was a good response...but you are right...only Palin (like Reagan, IMO) had that “it”’quality. Hope you get some rest!

Oh SO tired tonight but haven’t been able to sleep. Watched Gene Cernan on Cavuto, was great.

The rally was wonderful...I’ll post more tomorrow if I survive, LOL!

Youngest son and I made WTAE tv but just walking by. I wanted to avoid things because I was so tired. We also are in several pics. Mine didn’t turn out very good but there are a couple that are ok.
