yes, German Shepherds had such a reputation. But my first dog was a German Shepherd back in the 1960s and she was the sweetest animal you could imagine. She was my BEST dog in all those years.

Pit bulls, like any other breed, if given the RIGHT training AND genetics, can become a great pet. Teddy Roosevelt and Patton both had one.

But unlike most other breeds, they are one of the few designed to fight other dogs in a really sick and twisted “sport”.

I’m in agreement.

Shepherds, BTW, are my favorite breed. My husband’s sister had one for protection. He was trained like a soldier, and if you were stupid enough to threaten his family, he could take you out. But with us, he was a big ball of love.
