I would be for this as long as the tax payers don’t pay a dime. If a fund could be set up for donations and family pays some than I think it is a great idea. 16 trillion is coming upon us fast and we cannot afford to do things like this and other goodies. Those days MUST be over.

I disagree in this type of case. However, when Mr. Obama dies, either the NAACP, CP-USA or United Nations should pay for that funeral. LTJG Armstrong deserves a state funeral or nobody does.

We are way past the point of no return concerning government deficit spending. There is no way the debt can be repaid. The only question left is when the train wreck happens. The best thing that one can do is to position yourself to weather the crash as best as you can.

As far as a state funeral is concerned, if Armstrong doesn't deserve one, nobody does.

If we can't honor our heroes, especially men who put their lives on the line, both in and out of uniform, for this country in order to save some money, then we cease being a great nation. Hell, we spend $7 billion a year giving EITC payments to illegal aliens. And we can't spend even a "dime" to honor one of our greatest patriots?

We increase the national debt by $4 billion a day and you want to save taxpayer money on the backs of our heroes? What's next, no more flags for the families of those killed in action?

would be for this as long as the tax payers don’t pay a dime.

One of the most dispicable and disgraceful statements I have ever seen on FR in the ten years I have been on the site. You should be ashamed of yourself.

I think that would be appropriate.
