Everyone finds different motivation to better themselves. She turned out very pretty. Losing weight isn’t just about fat, it is also about being healthy.
What's sad about these cases though is it almost always leads to divorce. I've seen it a million times. A man or woman goes from homely to good looking, they get attention they never received before and bang it happens...they "trade up"
A woman at my gym lost 90 lbs..she would say how her husband was complaining about how much time she there and he liked her "better" at her old weight...of course he was 60-70 lbs overweight himself. She was overweight all her life, went from a 4/10 to a 8/10 (great bone structure was hidden under that fat), guys starting hitting/flirting on her at the gym ...well now she is divorced.
How true.
