If you really cared one iota about the real truth here you would take direct quotes only from the source. (· 546 )

The most wicked thing is to slander the good character of a person and try to have others believe the lie. (541)

Why don’t you be honest...you are not. (540)

Again, I have provided numbers after the actual quotes, versus my own comments (which were originally formatted as separate lines, with the second attempt missing a couple - again my bad), and provided the link where you can see the sources are those of Masters material, but which you all label as false because they are not seen as Masters own site.

However, not all Roy wants you to see is on his site, especially without paying, but we live in the age of the Internet, and so now you must accuse Google of lying as well, for all the referenced quotes in the below section come from Masters in “How Your Mind Can Keep You Well,” much of which is available for viewing online, and is searchable, as is done here, (http://books.google.com/books?id=lE5maGVa0NgC&printsec=frontcover#v=snippet&q=melted%20into%20the%20universe&f=false) and these are indeed there:

►The evidence of a Higher Presence in meditation is [manifested by] a change in breathing. 233 (p. 31)

►Cold shivers, occasional perspiration, and labored or heavy breathing reveal contact-response to a higher consciousness. It means something has been added that is causing changes to occur.234 (p. 40)

► Occasionally you will feel suspended in space, as if your body had melted into the universe and become "one" with all nature. . . . You will find yourself expressing wisdom and knowledge that you never outwardly learned or heard before.235 (p. 41)

►Sometimes you will hear, quite distinctly, words "spoken" to you in short phrases. Do not be alarmed.236 (p. 42)

And which online book provides more evidence on Masters occultic non-Christian craft (transcribed by me, but the page numbers are not shown in the online book, and so for some quotes only the heading is referenced.

►The meditation causes chemical changes within the body as poisons are expelled. You may experience a cold that lingers as poisonous substances are ejected. You may notice a change in bowel habits and other bodily functions.

►You will receive a mild feeling of stimulation, almost like that provided by a shot of brandy.

►At times you may feel as though you were wearing a tight skullcap on your head. You may feel your face tightening up as the lax muscles contract...(pp. 40-41)

►Each new stratum of consciousness is entered only when we have successfully traveled through the strata preceding it.

►While the monologue is explaining the idea here during the meditation, keep your mind concentrated on your hand regardless of whether you remember the presentation or not.

►Do not worry if your hand fails to rise during exercise, for the hand-raising is only a preliminary indication to measure the success of the concentration. Just a mild, tingling, prickly sensation in your hand is all that is needed.

►The meditation exercise leads you back to your inner self.

►Failure to do the exercise constitutes choosing the old ways again. (pp. 42-45.

►Simply have the awareness of the middle of your forehead, of your mind's eye. Just observe as though you were looking through the middle of your forehead, the place where thoughts arise, and then see if you can locate where your hand is rising up toward the middle of your forehead. See if you can draw your am up to at the middle of your forehead, energizing your am through being very aware of it.

►... It may begin to feel warm or detached, but just keep being aware of your hand and remain aware of it through the middle of your forehead. (II The meditation exercise)

►Bear in mind that the hand-raising feature of the meditation exercises is only a means to an end. The process of imagery is designed to inaugurate a chain reaction of responses touched off by conscious awareness. When your hand begins to rise, it is evidence of an energy value originating within you. But once you discover that by concentration through the middle of your forehead you can affect bodily responses, then imagery is no longer necessary. (The object of meditation)

As for the other referenced (numbered) quotes, Masters has not allowed them to be viewed or heard online, but they are referenced and the credibility of my source is already testified to by the prior substantiated quotes.

►One day, after discovering many things, the Spirit will lead you to read Scripture. At that time you will find joy on accepting the Witness to the Scriptures, rather than verses and chapters. What a contrast this is to accepting the Bible as the word of God: “ (How to Conquer Suffering Without Doctors, pp. 198-199)

►The whole process of growing is not from words but from realizing and then you can throw your Bible in the garbage can and there's no sin in that.137 (Roy Masters (tape), "The Mystery of Golgotha.")

►The Scriptures can poison you, and destroy you. They are lethal, they are deadly. They are more deadly than any drug.138 (Roy Masters, Tape No. 20, "The Sayings of Jesus--Right Tradition.")

And where Masters states that it is his “understanding” that is holy, not the Bible as a book, and which you can take into the toilet and use as any other paper (among other unholy statements), is in the debate available for free online. (http://www.blogtalkradio.com/waltermartindotcom/2011/06/05/walter-martin-takes-on-roy-masters.mp3)

And also as regards dispensing with the Bible once you have “arrived” through Masters meditating, from an article on his own site Maters states,

Christianity, for a thousand years at least, ever since Christ passed away from the earth and left his ministry in the hands of mere men, has been busy sterilizing the meanings of scriptures instead of understanding the content of the words so fully that the words themselves can be forgotten. We should liken words to road maps. Once we have used a road map to go, say, to New York, we no longer need the road map once we arrive at our destination...It's the same with studying scripture.(http://www.fhu.com/articles/message1.html)

Considering the Bible does not teach Masters type of meditation as the means to attain truth and salvation, with concentration through the middle of your forehead, and feeling as though your hand is detached, or suspended in space, as if your body had melted into the universe and become "one" with all nature as you listen to Masters hypnotic monologue, with hand-raising meaning an energy value is originating within you, and some experiencing bowel movements or “cold shivers” as a result, while not doing the exercises every day constitutes choosing the old ways again.

It is not surprising therefore that Masters deplores chapter and verse type examination, as you will not find this type of meditation in Scripture, and which is closer to the occult!

And in the light of these quotes and more, my added comments such as “Under which you realize esoteric understanding independent of the Scripture, and then the Bible can mean whatever you think it means in confirming what you already concluded,” And afterward, having begun without the Scriptures, and with your own spirit being supreme,” are indeed warranted, while you are the one believing a false gospel and making false charges as well, and resorting to vindictively slandering the character of those who exposing the false doctrine of one who himself rejects the church and exalts himself. But may God yet grant you Scriptural repentance unto life thru the gospel of grace.

As I wrote before....some are true quotes and make perfect sense, while others are just plainly false. As an example...
“Under which you realize esoteric understanding independent of the Scripture, and then the Bible can mean whatever you think it means in confirming what you already concluded,”
That does not sound like you Roy at all because he certainly knows that there is an objective truth and the entire idea of the Be Still is to come out of lala land, out of thoughts and fantasies so that the Holy spirit can truly lead us. And just because the exact exercise is not in the bible does not make it good. This is very much what some of the quote dealt with that you cannot come to terms with, that it is not the written word that is the really important thing, but rather the holy spirit that is the director of those words. You are like totally extremely and word fixated so you cannot really grow spiritually. And you are very rote/ rigid which makes you dry and dull.

To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them. (Isaiah 8:20)
