Well...she's clearly talented. She flats a lot of notes. And I'm not comfortable with a young teen girl singing like a 40-year-old torch singer who's been around the block a hundred times. I must be terribly old-fashioned because obviously the crowd liked her performance.
Here's a better example of a young girl from one of Simon Cowell's programs. This one is being raised by Christian parents. She has gone to have a stellar career and is making a lot of money, occupying a market niche that appeals to people who love beauty, joy, and purity rather than what's hot.

With a good coach and a decent songwriter, she could be on top!
