Four puddles this morning (that’s why there’s no kitteh yet!), and Ash won’t eat her dog food. She got up and went out, at least, once I was downstairs mopping. Now she and Piper are both sleeping on Ash’s bed.

I won’t say what I was thinking. But it’s good Anoreth and Piper are there, now.

Ash wont eat her dog food. May I suggest that you try to give her a slice of white bread in pieces? Our Buster stopped eating and was as weak as could be until Mr. Sg gave him white bread. (Buster had malignant oral melanoma.) He slowly bounced back, ate about three giant loaves per day, and lived six months after the day he was really sick and weak. Mr. Sg latches onto a problem like a pit bull. Anyway, we also figured out that squishy white bread can't be that bad for you since Buster made such a great comeback. Then again, we had the tumor debulked so part of the mechanical problem wasn't there for a while. Just a thought. We designed our retirement home around the easy-cleanup principle, so that the elderly and the infirm don't have to worry about accidents.

Yes.
Howya. Everything’s fine here, but up the coast is quite a mess. Anoreth showed me her base underwater.

Appropriate to today's weather, at least here.
Hurricane Sky
Cloud bellies, looking muscular,
Big knots of corded strength,
Like rippled abs up in the sky,
I studied them at length.
A hurricane sky came strolling,
Along my stretch of beach,
A muscled bit of cumulus,
Just slightly out of reach.
I stared into the cauldron,
The writhing mass at play.
It roiled and folded constantly.
Things could go wrong this day.
The surf was pounding out the steps,
As clouds walked over land.
Somehow I knew that they were not,
Here to just pound sand.
The portents of a message,
Were all quite abundantly clear,
When Mother Nature speaks her piece,
Its wise to lend an ear.

My sister was getting lots of rain so far. Are you close enough to water ways to see storm surges in your area?

"Are you close enough to water ways to see storm surges in your area?" I could if I went looking for them.
However, being quite comfortable at the moment, I'm staying put.

By the way, 'Face, I told
Tiamat that folks were asking about her.
Just recently, she hurt her toe, but she said, "Tell 'Face I can still whack on people who need it with my cane...."
I think I detect a bit of attitude there.

Still dry here, but very eerie. Steady NE wind, and freaked out geese.
