Can Mitt Romney keep up the momentum after his first debate?
Definitely, this is a whole new race
Doubt it. This was a fluke and a high-water mark for Romney
Itll be tough. Obama will come prepared the next time

FREEP THIS POLL ***PING!*** FRmail me if you want to be added or removed from the Fearless Poll-Freeping Freepers Ping list. And be sure to ping me to any polls that need Freepin', if I miss them. (looks like a medium volume list) (gordongekko909, founder of the pinglist, stays on the list until his ghost signs up for the list)
I think the results of the first debate will make some folks wake up and watch the second debate.
He’ll be fine, in terms of his preparation of information. However, the moderator in the next debate will not be moderating. They will be debating, along with Obama and I expect dirty questions will be asked, that has nothing to do with the topic being asked.
I think Romney will be generally fine. He’s a veteran politician who knows to not expect fair treatment.
The 2nd debate is Town Hall format with Candy Crowley moderating. Obama will be playing to the cheap seats on this one.
Romney is a far better debater and clearly more competent and intelligent than Obama. My frustration with Romney is that the debates alone are not enough if Obama’s negative stuff goes unanswered. Obama with the help of the MSM has been successful in drawing the negative narrative of Romney.Obama started up with the negatives the day after the debate. And there is never an answer from the Romney team. He needs to get more aggressive between debates and not let the lies go unanswered.
It appears as though Buck isn’t going for that “Deer Leader” garbage the left is always spewing.
I think that was a deliberate strategy. Had Romney gone negative too early, the media and the 47% would have gone all tribal. The media would have done its utmost to nullify all the Romney campaign commercials. It would have been a waste of money.
It was a necessary move to show, in concrete and unquestionable terms, just how capable Romney was in comparison to Obama in the debates before Romney could pick apart Obama, piece by piece.
I think, now that the contrast has been made, you will start to see a stronger campaign from the Romney camp and it should be entertaining.
Romney doesn’t have momentum. He has truth, all he needs to do is stick with it.
Only hype needs momentum.
There's always an answer - but the f'd up media will NEVER give it even one second of exposure.
They are going after him on the PBS thing. I just saw a report on NBC that was so over the top..made it sound like he was planning on taking milk out of children’s mouths. I’ve never seen anything like it. THe world will fall apart without Sesame Street. He’d better not back down on this. STAND UP AND BE HONEST.
72.2% Definitely, this is a whole new race
22.78% It’ll be tough
5.02 % Doubt it.
Has anyone seen Pat Buchanan’s piece re the debate? High praise- especially for him. Apologies that I have no link (I read in my email, earlier)
Candy Crowley moderating.
She doesn’t seem to type to play favorites. She seems like she could care less what either of them think of her. The problem with other liberals is that they want to ensure an invitation to the next cocktail party but she seems like she could care less.
FReeEEeePED
Ha HA on the deer story! An added bonus.
Itll be tough. Obama will come prepared the next time: 22.74%
Definitely, this is a whole new race: 72.24%
Doubt it. This was a fluke and a high-water mark for Romney: 5.01%
The next debate is on foreign policy...What could Obama possibly have positive to say about his foreign policy??? He bowed to foreign dignitaries??? he allowed an ambassador to be murdered along with three other Americans??? He is letting our troops be killed with ridiculous ROE....
What the h*ll can he say positive???
Obama will always have trouble debating against the truth of what he has done to the USA under his control.
72.8% yes.
