I use Buffalo Bore 260 grs at 1500 fps and Corbon 300 grs at 1300 fps.

I am familiar with the specialty loads. Still, in general the .45 Colt is not in the same class as the .44 mag.

I hope to try my .44 on a hog one of these days.

If you get the chance may I suggest a cross draw holster for barrels over 6 inches, they sure keep that pistol out of the way.
