It means that there are now under 10 states it is considered a “lock” that Obama wins...which means he is tanking in the polls.

They’re surprised that its not at 53 or 54 states by now.

Could it mean that only 10 states are now deemed certain to vote for Obama in the election?

It’s only a guess—I didn’t write that ambiguous headline.

He only has 10 states out of 50 locked down in his column. The rest are either leans O, are tossup, or are leans Romney or locked down for Romney.

Not looking good for Bathhouse Barry!

I believe it means that Obama has only 10 states that he can count on winning right now. Romney is competitive in and can win in the other 40 states.

Which are the 10 states? Let’s see...

CA, MA, RI, WA, MD, IL, VT, CT...that’s 8.

10 States are 100% sure to vote for zero (?)
That’s my interpretation.

(he’d need to work harder on the remaining 49 States)

It means that only 10 or fewer states are certain to go for Obama, and the other 47 or more are either safe for Romney or are in play.

Obama has 10 locks, Yale locks and he put them under (buried them) 10 States. We don’t yet know why he did this.

Or something like that...

TX, AL, MS, GA, LA, FL, VA, NC, SC, UT, MT, KY, IN, KS, NE, ND, SD, ID, AZ, OK, AR, TN, WV, WY, AK...

How does DC get 3 electoral votes?

That offsets the whole state of Wyoming. We need to give DC back to Maryland.

RealClearPolitics (RCP) already moved OH to the tossup category a week ago, although Obama has a statistically insignificant 2.6% edge in Ohio. In the past three days, they also moved the 52 electoral votes carried by WI, PA, NH, and MI to the tossup category. RCP has Romney with a slight but not statistically significant edge (0.7 to 1.5%) in the four that just moved.

It means those States are a sure win for Obama.
Leaning Red means it could still win for Obama but only a slight margin.
Toss up means, it can go either way.
It's the electoral votes that matter.
But if Obama loses FL, OHIO, PA, NC, VA, MI, WI then he loses.

That means there are 47 states that are either a lock for Romney or are toss ups. Romney is going to win at least 59 states and two provinces. 500 million Italians are in Romney’s camp as we speak.

It’s not time to relax folks. If he does well in the upcoming debates he could turn several states around. Now is the time to dig in and keep pushing while we have momentum so that when the election results are in Romney pummels him so bad he leaves in complete disgrace for what he attempted to do to this country.

Please disregard the Obama/Romney comparisons in individual states; the numbers I typed are garbage.

I read in the TNT, (Tacoma News Tribune), that Oregon is trending Romney. I don’t believe anything could sway Washington to go Romney. It’s been a long time since the state voted sanely, if ever.

Then does that mean Romney is tanking even more? Just click on Drudge’s link and you can see Romney’s only got a lock on less than half of the EVs Obama does. The headline could just as easily say, “Obama has lock on twice as many electoral votes as Romney.”

Drudge is biased, preaching-to-the-choir, pro-Romney, pro-RNC media. I support Romney and the GOP but I look for unbiased, factual reporting, not spoonfed hype. I can deal with the facts and don’t need to be coddled to make myself feel good.

Oregon is one of the top 10 Mormon states. Romney will do better there and in Nevada, Arizona and Minnesota than the usual GOP candidate.
