Ohio (vanity)

Posted on 10/24/2012 8:01:41 PM PDT by CatOwner

Has Romney ever been in the lead in any poll in Ohio? While there are other scenarios for Romney to get to 270 EVs, the fact that he isn't leading in Ohio is disconcerting. Just one (fair) poll showing Romney with a 2-3 point lead in Ohio. Maybe Obama's ground game is too strong in Ohio?

Britt also said in the end, he thinks OH breaks for Romney.

Heff, I am with you on that one. If Romney could find a way to win without Ohio, that would be great. Make Missouri the bellwether state again!

I’ve seen two polls with Romney ahead in Ohio - but not by much. But I still think he will win that state by 2 percentage points.

The one good thing about all those recent polls, which are tied or an Obama lead- Obama is below 50% as an incumbent. So hopefully the undecideds will vote for Romney.

Mr. Obama has spent hundreds of millions of dollars poisoning the well against Gov. Romney in Ohio. But those ads didn’t run in Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Minnesota or New Jersey, now did they? But those people saw the debates. Hoist on his own petard?

I’ve seen polls with Romney in the lead and odds are he’s leading now. Romney is at least 8 points ahead with the Independents, the undecideds will break for Romney so I can’t see him losing Ohio.

BTW, the only candidate pulling out of states is the Kenyan. That should tell you something. Also, if the Kenyan really had Ohio locked down he wouldn’t be spending so much time and resources there. Same with Nevada.

I think OH will go for Romney, as well. Obama won it in 2008 by 51.5%-47.9%, so less than a 2.5% shift gives it to Romney.

lol Nice try. Obama has to have Ohio to win, Romney doesn’t. Regardless, I still think he’ll take it. Polls never showed Reagan beating Carter and it was a landslide. Romney is polling higher than any other Republican in over 50 years. I’m putting my money on Romney. Obama simply has too many failures to account for.

Another poll with Romney in the lead that ClearasMudPolitics didn't pickup:

Romney has moved ahead of Obama by a single point, 48% to 47% with 5% yet undecided.

Also remember that here in Wisconsin - we were inundated with Anti-Walker ads and outspent by literally millions. The wretched, waste of taxpayer money that WI was forced to spend on the recall election. Gobs of $$$ spent by the SEIU and the Nat. Fed. of Teachers union thugs. We sat relatively silently by and infuriated folks turned out in droves for Walker. He won by 7% the SECOND time we elected him in 1 1/2 years. Unions thought they were easily going to defeat us.

Same feeling here again - Obama was bad in 2008, we couldn't stand him or his thugs in 2010 - massive turnout and do you see any ONE person who voted in 2010 that will NOT vote for Romney in 2012? I keep trying to stay positive. I feel the big MO in Romney's direction. Hope this is true. Keep the faith and keep praying. Keep the powder dry.

" The polls won’t reflect the actual outcome where it counts: the ballot box"

LOL

The OUTCOME will depend on how many trunkloads of "found" ballots and Fraudulent Ballots the Dem's come up with, in Ohio.

OH is not needed to win. OH is a red herring so the LSM can call an early victory for Lil Barry to try and suppress the voting in states which vote later. The LSM is desperate and will by any means call the race early for the ‘Rats.
