Sandy has really sped up. Getting caught in the upper flow. Looks like it will beat high tide in....
Approaching record surge already at places along the shore.
You must be looking at old data, because it made a turn early this morning and has turned more since then, eye is heading directly as predicted at southern NJ coast.
I have looked at all the charts. Ultimately, NOAA is the source of most weather radar. Regardless, none of them are posted later than 11:00 AM Monday, and all show the storm significantly (180 km) east of where predicted. No evidence whatsoever of a left turn yet.

As my first post stated...Piers in a great forecaster....but this was a very reckless forecast. He is an AWESOME anti-AGW source...and routinely ROCKS long-range forecasts for climate. His track record against the government agencies in the US AND Europe is unmatched.
However, you cannot apply his techniques to short range forecasts. I hope this bust hasn't hurt his credibility. A 100 atta-boys get wiped out by one uh-oh....
Have a look at Wunderground's interactive map. Click the Satellite option, adjust the opacity down a bit, and press the Animate button. The storm looks to be following right along slightly to the north of the predicted track. I'd rather not be in Philadelphia.

The 5 PM forecast from SATURDAY for today is within 20 miles. It's exactly where it was forecasted on LAST FRIDAY.
I'll get back to you in 6 hours when it makes landfall...within 20 miles of the forecast spot from 4 days ago. Then PERHAPS you will concede it has turned left. But then again...perhaps not.

Don’t bother. If this poster can’t look at the satellite image I posted and see it moving NW...or look at the intellicast link and see the turn...or read the NHC advisories that specifically STATE the direction has shifted: They are beyond help. They are either a troll (which is really sick considering what is going on) or have mental issues.
