This suggests to me that other people may be having trouble related to their hardware, their software, their ISP, their browser, local traffic, or home conditions. (If you’re sharing your network with a teenage gamer, yes, he’s going to suck up all the bandwidth and it will be a nuisance. Ask me how I know!)

Yeah, that's it. A month or two ago, almost everyone on this site suddenly and coincidentally began experiencing slow (or no) response due purely to self-inflicted problems. The common denominator might appear to be Free Republic, but that can't possibly be it. LOL.

Some of the postings you see on theses types of threads could come right out of the mouth of Jay Carney in defense of Barack Obama they are so ridiculous.

I know, I know—it sounds self-congratulatory. I don’t know anything about computers and I’m not trying to pat myself on the back. I just have no problems with FR and it’s kind of a mystery. JimRob and the gang are 3200 miles away from me, so proximity isn’t the reason. But maybe there’s something about my ISP or local traffic being handled expeditiously because we’re near D.C.
