NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) Staten Island residents are furious. They feel that in the aftermath of Superstorm Sandy theyve been ignored and left to fend for themselves.
CBS 2′s Jessica Schneider toured the borough on Thursday night and saw one home on Cedar Grove Avenue that looks like it was torn to shreds by a tornado.
However, it was surging ocean waters that tore the house apart, and filled others with more than 10 feet of water.

I can't believe the Red Double Cross is this lame!!
Brownie? Anyone?
Janet the dyke was there today and told them TOMORROW people will be knocking on doors and doing resuce. TOMORROW WHY NOT NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Why not yesterday???
Where’s FEMA?
Brownie? Anyone?
Wheres yo dollas.... Wheres yo stafford money.....
This is developing into Obama’s Katrina.
Hmmm... after Katrina, nobody, and especially the press weren't shouting so much "Where's FEMA", as "Where's Bush?!?!".
Somehow, once again, the left-wing media is shouting at FEMA, the Mayor, the Governor... everyone but Oblamer.
The press is managing to not only keep the heat off of Obama for this, but to keep Benghazi off the front page too!
Barack Hussein Obama Wants You To “Man Up!” He’s busy right now. LOL!
Bush was held personally responsible for not only the perceived poor performance of the federal agencies involved, he was held responsible for the storm itself.
I am sure the MSM will persecute The One and castigate the Obama administration for slow response--
....just like W. Bush (x43)
Hussein’s fault.
However, it was surging ocean waters that tore the house apart, and filled others with more than 10 feet of water.
Yeah, and if they didn’t have flood insurance, they are SOL on the damages
We need blankets, we need pillows, we need clothing.
The Red Cross doesn’t want donations of those things, they want CASH only.
I’ve never met him personally but he doesn’t strike me as the type of guy who would actually touch a live fish or know how to cast a fly rod.
I grabbed the pic of Obozo from here:
That's because it costs more to sort those things into usable and not, filthy used things and new, then to package and transport those items to the scene where they are needed, than it does to buy new ones, cheap because of the bulk price. Would you want to use a pillow that was pulled from someone's roach infested basement? I have seen these types of donations before.
I get the cash idea, but I sure wouldn’t give it to the Red Cross, with their bloated overhead and overpaid executives. Give your money to the Salvation Army, Samaritans Purse or Mercury One. And, let me tell you, if I was out on the street in sub-freezing weather for days on end with no other help in sight I’d take a moldy blanket and a filthy pillow.
And with no flood insurance, she said shes been pleading for help, but finding little.
Staten Island is waaaaymore Republican than Democrat....maybe THAT’S why they are not being helped!
